This was a must try teochew porridge in the past. It has since upgraded till it became the most expensive porridge in Shantou. A cheaper alternative is 桂园白粥。Same type of food, a lot cheaper but the ambience not as atas.

漳州土楼内 - 客家菜

We have opted to try the lower level round tulou to have our lunch. Not only the food was delicious, the hospitality was wonderful. Diners are allowed to go upstairs for more photo taking which you can see the adjacent rounded tulou as the background.

This is a local restaurant frequent by locals. There are 2 dishes which are highly recommended, one is the ginger claypot chicken which you can already smell the aroma upon entering the restaurant and second dish is the live abalone which costed like RM15 (S$3) each.　The rest of the dishes were very good and price was so reasonable. Highly recommended.
