China - Dong bei (Harbin - Xue gu - Yan ji- Chang bai shan - Shen yang)

Below itinerary is based on flying in to Shenyang and flying out from Tianjin

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Shenyang.  中街 (住沈阳）

Day 2: 沈阳故宫，张学良府， 小南教堂， 洗浴（住沈阳）

Day 3: Morning train to 长白山.  Evening at 恩都里- 云顶天宫（住长白山）

Day 4: Full day 长白山北景区天池，瀑布 - 雪景温泉  OR ski at any of the skiing resort（住长白山）

Day 5: 雾凇漂流 (if snow the previous night). Train from 长白山 to 图们.   Train from 图们 to 延吉西. Eat korean seafood （住延吉）

Day 6: Driver pickup as early as possible. 6hr+ drive from Yanji to XueGu（住雪谷）

Day 7:  Full day snow adventure (snow mobile, snow forest,  snow tubing, banana boat, etc). Options: 1. 狗熊岭 2. 雾松岭 3. Cross over the 羊头山 to 雪乡.（住雪谷）

Day 8: Xue gu to Haerbin about 4hrs drive. 中央大街（住哈尔滨）

Day 9: Harbin Snow n ice world from noon till night（住哈尔滨）

Day 10: Harbin 虎林/ 松花江/ 哈药六厂/ 博物馆/ 音乐长廊 （住哈尔滨）

Day 11: Train from Harbin to Tianjin. 6.5hrs.（住天津）

Day 12: Tianjin city walk.（住天津）

Day 13: Tianjin - SG morning flight

Harbin somehow feels much colder and more biting compared to Xuegu or Changbaishan, even though the temperatures are similar at around −20°C or lower.

Xuegu is a more original, peaceful, and authentic village, whereas Xuexiang is far more commercialised and mainly consists of a shopping street.

There are many places where you can experience snow forests, snowmobile rides, and other snow activities, so visiting just one of them is sufficient. These include:

1. Changbaishan

2. Xuexiang / Xuegu

3. Yabuli

Skiing options:

• Advanced slopes: Changbaishan West or Yabuli (more expensive, with options such as Club Med)

• Beginner slopes: Changbaishan North

Alternatively, you can consider Jilin and visit Beidahu Ski Resort which is less touristy.

Stay

1. 沈阳: Any accommodation that is walking distance to 中街

2. 长白山： if not skiing/ beginners skier, stay at 北坡， easier to access to 天池 and better onsen options . If serious skier, stay at 西坡 for better ski lanes and resorts. Can access west side of 天池 but needs a bit more climbing.

3. 延吉：Gardenia Art Hotel. Just beside shopping mall and not too far from everywhere.

4. 雪谷： Any accommodation so long you are comfortable with the amenities. I stayed at 山川情驿站.

5. 哈尔滨： Madison hotel. Right above subway and beside 哈尔滨站. New hotel - opened beginning 2025

7. 天津： UrCove by Hyatt.  Perfect in every way.

Transport:

1. 高铁: 沈阳-长白山， 长白山-图们， 图们- 延吉，哈尔滨- 天津
